Speed is a feature, not a phase
Performance is decided by a hundred small choices during the build, which is why bolting it on afterwards is expensive and half-effective. Every site we ship targets the nineties on mobile PageSpeed as a baseline.
About
Facet Studio builds websites and mobile apps from Beirut for clients in Lebanon and abroad. We are deliberately small, which means the person who scopes your project is the person who writes the code.
We run twelve websites in production end to end: development, hosting, search and ongoing optimization. Some are client projects, some are our own products. That mix matters more than it sounds. Running our own software means we live with every shortcut we might have taken, and it is a good discipline against the kind of decision that looks fine at handover and painful a year later.
The work splits into four areas: web development, mobile apps, SEO and performance, and e-commerce. We do not offer branding, advertising or social media management, because we would only be subcontracting them and adding a margin.
A facet is one precise, deliberate cut. No single one makes a stone worth looking at, and the quality of the result is in how well the cuts relate to each other. That is a reasonable description of building software, and it comes from the family business: this studio grew out of a gemstone trade, which is also where our first serious e-commerce problems came from.
Performance is decided by a hundred small choices during the build, which is why bolting it on afterwards is expensive and half-effective. Every site we ship targets the nineties on mobile PageSpeed as a baseline.
Domain, hosting, code and analytics in your name. No proprietary platform, no monthly payment required to keep your own site online, no penalty for leaving. A client who stays because leaving is painful is not a happy client.
Hiding rates until a sales call wastes everyone's time and mostly serves the seller. Our pricing page lists real ranges so you can work out whether to keep reading.
We have told clients their existing site was fine, that a rebuild was not worth it, and that a project was outside what we should be quoting for. It costs work occasionally and it is still the right call.
Mid-range Android phones, patchy mobile data, Arabic and English, WhatsApp before email, cash on delivery. Lebanon does not browse and buy the way a template from San Francisco assumes.
Every launch ships with analytics, Search Console and a performance budget. If we cannot show you what changed after the work, we should not have charged for it.
Projects start with a written scope and a fixed price, so there is no drift and no surprise invoice. We build in visible increments on a staging link you can open from your phone, which means you see progress weekly instead of waiting for a reveal. At launch you get the logins, the code and a short written explanation of which numbers are worth watching. Everything runs by email and video call, and you always talk to the person doing the work.
We work best with clinics, retailers, professional firms and founders who need the website or app to do a job: bring in enquiries, rank for the right searches, sell something, replace a manual process. If your site is a working part of the business, we are a good match.
We are a poor fit if you need the cheapest possible five-page placeholder, if you want a full marketing department, or if you need a team of fifteen and a dedicated account manager. In those cases we will say so early and point you somewhere more sensible.
Send a few lines about your project and you will get a straight answer on scope, price and timeline, usually the same day.
